KINDERWELTEN cordially invites you to an International Conference on Friday, June 11th 2010 in Berlin, Germany: Education consistently inclusive
How inclusion can consistently and practically be realised is shown by the approach of Prejudice-aware Education: ?Respecting diversity, resisting exclusion? is the guideline for change in pedagogical institutions. It encompasses the professionalization of pedagogues and a critical organizational development with a focus on anti-discriminatory practices and structures.

The conference will give insights in to theory and practice of inclusion, with renown representatives from the international education discourse: Louise Derman-Sparks (Prof. em. at the Pacific Oaks College Pasadena/ California, co-founder of the Anti-Bias Approach in the US), Vernor Munoz (UN Special rapporteur for the right to education) and Tony Booth (Professor for Inclusive and International Education at the University of Canterbury/UK, Co-author of the Index for Inclusion).

A large exhibition of the 77 partner organizations in the project KINDERWELTEN and their reports from early childcare centres, primary schools and initial training schools give insights into the variety of
processes, experiences and practices in the framework of the project.

The conference addresses professionals working in the field of education, policymaking and administration and looks forward to welcoming our partners from the European networks DECET (Diversity in Early Childhood Education and Training) and ISSA (International Step by Step Association).
